My Sister - A Gift

What a gift my sister was and is to me!  

The day she went to heaven a little red bird was sent my way - taking away the pain for just one moment as he stared at me - directly into my eyes - my life was forever changed - I lost my sister on earth but her soul survives and shares through me the real gifts of life!  

This one here as we know it is only the beginning.... I know that now for certain and because of that I'm able to live my life as it should be - free from fear and full of love because that is what matters most - that is what we take with us and what we leave behind!  

Thank you little red bird sent from above - guiding my life showing us all pure love!

A Little Red Bird Story

My little sister passed away a long time ago she had been a child with special needs and I had been a caregiver and we were close. So I was sad in my room missing her when I heard a peck peck at my window that wouldn't quit so I went to check it out it was a little red bird coming to cheer me. Well I had red curtains and a bush below the window with small red blooms that may have lured the bird but over the years I moved to different places and soon a little red bird would come so I took it as a sign from her to cheer me. Well now I've moved to the desert where there are no red birds but I met the little red bird on Facebook who supplies me with much inspiration and a multitude of little red birds and I save the pictures in a folder so when needed I have all the little red birds to look at.

You can use the story glad you liked it my mother just came back from a long cruise while aboard she saw a young lady on the deck and she said to her you look like my daughter would have what is your name she said Francine from Montreal (that is my sister's name and the original city we came from) the young lady said you give me the shivers and gave my mom a hug.

Since "Little Red Bird" has been formed in Facebook, I'm receiving so many little chirps back to me how our Little Red Bird is very special and significant to so many others. Signs of Love from Above from those we lost. How comforting it is to hear and to connect to these wonderful souls. I thought another blog post was due to share the love here with you too:

She's gotten quite creative in sending me little red birds in unexpected places.

Our friend Jason bought this little red bird magnet on-line from a girl named Jennifer who lives in Texas (LOL) and gave it to me! (I'm Jennifer from Texas too)....

In a time of heartache and despair, when life just didn't seem fair, a little red cardinal flew to my side and for a moment, made the ache disappear.
That was just the beginning...... today the little red bird chirp chirp chirps everywhere.

This is a place to share the positive lil chirps we all need to hear.

"Remember, life is a journey and everything happens for a reason. Life may not always be easy, but that's okay, if life was always good and easy than how would we know the difference between the good and the bad?"

March 22, 2008 ~ Remembered

It was on this date 3 years ago I received the worst news I can't even begin to tell.
My heart stopped beating, my mind went blank. I couldn't breath and then all of a sudden I began to yell!
NO NO NO - it just can't be - not my precious Mary!
She's too good to be gone....
Too strong!
She's my sister and has a huge piece of my heart... I need that part of my heart!
This can't be true! I refuse to believe it! NO!
We're not old yet... Were supposed to be best friends when were old and laugh at all our childhood riff raff and support each other through lifes trials!
Our bond is one - without her I am broken.
She is one of the good ones....

My breath comes back, I begin to slowly see - this is true and the way it's going to be!
I choke on my tears and can't stand the thought of what it was that tore us apart! I don't think straight ... I can't think straight! My family has to make the plans for me to do what I have to do to pack up and fly.
Can I have a one way ticket to heaven please - it's my little sister Mary I want to see!
In the midst of this terrible day everything I see was grey. Then out of the sky a vibrant red cardinal flew to my side. For just one moment I didn't feel the pain! There was something in that moment that gave me strength....

Now I know because it's 3 years later and I feel far from alone! I think you may be closer than you were when you were here! Your everywhere with me and in everything I see! It's you and me sweet Sis - forever into eternity!
