A MAGICAL DAY

Here are just some of the reasons why:

our little brother got married and Mary was all around

cardinals chirping in the trees

dragonflies all over the grounds

ladybugs clinging to cars outside the reception

butterflies set free and at 2:22a.m. one was found on my brothers sleeve

M&M's were left on the kids table in honor of their mom

centerpieces made by Amanda's dad with a cardinal atop as a crown

homemade blueberry jam by Amanda's mom with a cardinal atop the jar as favors

so many special guests - childhood friends and family all attend

 

Lil Brother

I'd like to dedicate this post to our lil brother David! 
Mary and I took special care of our lil brother,  he was ours, ours to love, cherish and cheer for! We've always been his biggest fans.
It's a no wonder that Mary and our dad are still watching over him with her love from above....

We got some wonderful news this past Christmas - he's going to get married to a wonderful lil lady this summer.  When I asked him what date he was looking to get married, without hesitating, he said they both wanted to get married on Mary's birthday 7-31-13.  I don't know if that date is going to work, but its the thought that counts!  I know Mary and our dad will be there no matter what ~ just like they were at my wedding!  It's going to be a wonderful day to celebrate! We are so proud of you and I hope you know how much we love your Amanda, our future sister.

I love these pictures that came my way by means of our step dad who found them in slides and was kind enough to make a book for our momma and lil sis Lisa! More to come - I just wanted to dedicate this post to you lil brother, our parents only son, Mary and I's only LIL brother and Lisa's big brother!  In case you didn't know,  you are very special and are a blessing  - a blessing to us all!

Mary's lil Brett

I just had to post this picture of Mary's lil Brett. I know if she was with us, she would be loving this moment with all her heart. Admiring her son's sweetness with our neice Haley at the wedding. They were so sweet together. Instant friends. What a moment! My heart melts each time I look at this picture.

I wonder if Lisa & i were thinking the same thing,

"How lucky we are to have Mary's lil legacies"!

Through them, Mary will always be with us!

A Very Special Jacket

It all began with this!!
This is Mary's jacket she loved so much, I had it made into my Ring Bearer Pillow for my wedding. It is one of the most precious things I own. Peices from her sleeves were made into straps to be wrapped around each flower bouquet (mine, our sister Lisa's & her daughter Kelsey's). Her son Brett was the one who got to carry it down the aisle for us. Mary & Brett together. We gave a button to our brother and a small strap to our mom to have, hold & cherish. Mary was with us in more ways than one August 6, 2009!!

Special Bouquet

This is the beautiful Maid of Honor bouquet that my beautiful sister Lisa carried.... Kelsey carried a smaller version as the Jr. Maid of Honor! The soft beige wrap around is a peice of Mary's favorite jacket that she wore.

Each of us had a peice of it.

Mom got a peice to hold & my brother got a button.

Brett carried the ring bearer pillow that was made entirely out of the jacket.

It was special having Mary with each of us on this very special day.

She was there with us in more ways than one!

Wedding Orbs

Dancing the night away with the VIP! All together on one floor. There was so much love flowing through the night that even the vendors were saying they felt it! When I say it was a dream, I mean it whole heartedly! Dancing with Kelsey & Brett all night was heavenly - I can remember the happiness I felt like it was yesterday....


I have been receiving pictures each week from different friends or family.... I just got these from my dear friend Kim. Great pictures!!
I knew Mary and my dad were there with us.

Heavenly Wedding

I feel like the heavens were as close as they could be to me during my unbelievable day! I was blessed to be surrounded by so much love and beauty..... even the vendors mentioned to me how sweet the energy of the entire night was!

Cardinal Wedding

This picture was the beautiful cake Nancy made for me at my wedding shower..... she added my lil cardinal! This is the lil cardinal still with me on the top of the star jewelry box Mary gave me years ago ~ on top of it says: "You are the Star I look up to"... I used it to hold jewelry for my wedding!

This is the centerpiece Nancy put together outside on her deck where we had the "out-of-towners" dinner the night before our wedding!

This is the memorial table at my wedding with my Grandma's cardinal statue that was passed along to me when my Uncle Ricky passed away last year.
