A New Life Sought

Bali way of life..... hmmmm! Sounds peaceful - simple! That is what I am looking for this year! A serene, simple yet productive way of life. I'm aiming to get rid of unnecessary stress in my life. I came across a blog recently on accident and it has peeked my interest. http://www.thebalisideoflife.blogspot.com/. Ever since I read "Eat, Pray, Love", I have had a dream of going to India & Indonesia to find and feel what those two countries represent: Meditation/Prayer & Love/Peace! A deep healing.....
The new blog has given me a glimpse of Bali & it is beautiful!! The pics here in my blog are borrowed from the site!

Lavender which is very healing and boasts positive effects when used is a main focus in my life ~ it started with being the theme of my wedding and proved its reputation right.

Meditation and Simplifying my life will be sought through the different ways out there ~ I will keeep you posted.

" I may not have all that I want but I have more than I need"!

I welcome the simple things in life like my birds of love that are with me every where I go, all my loved ones and the new discoveries through others I am learning and incorporating into my own!

You inspire me, Jeni. Thanks for sharing that neat blog. I hope you can go to Bali one day, but until then, you can read that blog and practice the customs, and hopefully you will find a greater peace.

Love ya,
Laurie

oh my dear Jeni,
you'll find no greater peace then in the word of God. He is the great comforter, the great healer, the creator of everything and everyone. He knew you before you were even born. He knows your sorrows and your joys. He knows your needs even before you do. He is in control of everything. He will give you the strength you need for each and every day.
Isaiah 41: 10
Fear thou not: for I am with thee: be not dismayed: for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
This is a promise from God. The Bible is full of His promises.
I found the following in a devotional Bible:
Peace, Be Still!
We all go through storms in life. Whether we are caught up in the agitation of little daily traumas that tear away at our peace of mind, or face real fears that rage within our hearts, Jesus can calm any storm with a word: "Peace, be still!"(Mark 4:39).
When the disciples first witnessed Jesus' power to bring peace, they were amazed: "What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?" (Mark 4:41). We will be amazed too.
The gift of peace can come quickly, unexpectedly-as you gaze at the soft flow of a candle during a hushed quiet time, as you walk in the woods and feel God close. It can come even in a glimpse out the window,as your eye beholds the beauty outside. It can come through the loving gesture of a friend. It can come through laughter or tears....or simply silence. It can come through prayer.
"Peace be to you," Jesus says.
TO YOU!

How awesome. What a promise.
Jeni, you are seeking. Seek it in the word of God. It will not fail you. Read the Psalms.
Psalms 118: 8
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Psalms 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalms 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God:

the Women's devotional Bible is a collection of daily devotions from godly women. It has an index at the back that you can look up devotions on topics, like peace, healing, fear, whatever you need for the day.
I underline in mine. make notes, put thank you's to the Lord in it.
Also, did you ever find that book that I sent Mary? It was by Stormie Omartian. I can't remember the name right now but it is a very good book, but always, always go back to the book that will withstand the test of time. the Bible.
Please let me know if you need anything. I love you. I'm praying for you.
Love ya
Susan

Laurie,
I've read the Stormie one too. IT's awesome. But the one I'm talking about they renamed. It was called
A step in the right direction and then they changed it to something like Finding peace something something something. ANyways, I had ordered it for Mary and found it on line at a book store that would send it to her. But I can't remember right now the new name. It is an awesome book. I read it when I was having really bad panic attacks. It deals with different stuff too.
I have her newest book
Power of praying thru the Bible. It's really good too.Actually all of her books are good!! POwer of the praying wife, Power of the praying parent, etc.
