2017! Live it ~ Learn from it and love it!

2017 🤔

As I think back through this past year and reflect on the memories made and lessons learned, I smile, look up to the heavens and say Thank You! Thank you again...

I've battled with some crazy health issues.  The kind of crazy where no doctors really know the answers.  Anything that has to do with the auto immune system becomes a big guessing game.  Good thing I'm a fighter with a pocket full of Hope. I'm doing pretty good these days and have learned alot! No more gluten, dairy and soy.  Amazing results!

I can honestly say I love my life, everyone in it, the job I do and who I do it for!  Life is short, I know this to be true, so I'll keep on loving it and hoping you do too.

To all my friends and family reading this: Thank you for being in my life and making memories with me!

Happy New Year - live it, learn from it and love it one day at a time!

Unlock The Power Of Manifesting Change-Gratitude

The true power of gratitude is in finding gratitude in the most difficult and darkest areas of one's life.  Feeling gratitude for the everyday obvious things is not enough and only just the beginning.  Gratitude must extend to the parts of our lives where we find the most struggle and pain.  The things that really hurt us the most.

When we can be honest and indentify the sources of our pain and struggle we then can become aware that those issues that we carry are not really a part of us.  Instead they are ideals that we behold to that we created out an idea of self that we have always been trying to live up to.

Once you realize that those very issues are attached to the concept of you, you understand that those attachments are what actually keeps the false-self and ego alive.  Coming to understand and know this allows you to let them go and shed ego.  By letting go you are removing resistance. It is that attachment that has created resistance between you connecting with your true essence and souls purpose.  You are not an idea of you.  You are you, not your thoughts; I am who I am.

What was pain and anguish can become a source to be grateful for.  All of our struggles are lessons for us to be guided and teach us what we are here to learn.  By looking in the darkest areas of our self we enable us to shed the most light and become the catalyst for deep everlasting change created by an internal shift.

Signs

Angels were in full force this a.m.
Right after I acknowledged them and asked them for a little help I  saw 111, 777, 000, 111 on 4 different cars in a 1 mile span and then a cardinal flew right in front of my car!

It's quite amazing how it works like that.  I woke up a little on the grumpy side still feeling the disappointment from the dentist appointment the day before. I felt guilty for not being happy on a Friday.  I'm always a little extra happy on Fridays... Yes, I really am.  (That's what happens when you give yourself a Friday reward at the end of the day!)  So, I decided right then and there that I had a choice - I did not have to feel this way.  I started focusing on the positive things in my life and felt gratitude.  From there I asked my angels for a little help and as if by magic,  a weight was lifted off of me and I was seeing the day with different eyes, a joyous perspective, a grateful view on everything.  I felt myself fill with LOVE.
I urge you to try this..... it really makes life more fun!

Kelsey's Gratitude ~ Bretts Love

KELSEY
The day before Thanksgiving, I asked niece Kelsey to start thinking about a list of 5 things she is most grateful or thankful for. Her response was, "That's it? Can I expand on that?"......
Once again, mama Mary's kids melt my heart!

Thanksgiving Day, Kelsey calls me up and says "Hey Aunt Jeni! I've got 40 things so far on my gratitude list! I could keep going, but it would take days to finish. LOL.... My grateful lil niece! How did she turn out so smart, so loving, so sweet, so funny...?? Oh yeah, she's my sisters kid!!

Here are the first 40 items of love in Kelsey's heart (she said it was absolutely in no way any special order!):

1. Being a Christian 2. Family (this includes everyone!) 3. Friends 4. Relationship with Jesus 5. Home 6. Food 7. Own Room 8. Grandparents 9. Aunt Jeni & Uncle Chad 10.Wardrobe 11. shoes 12. BRETT
I most certainly don't want to leave Brett out ~ I never could. I speak to him often too, but alot of times he's busy playing. He did call me the other day just to say: "Hi Aunt Jeni, I wanted to talk to you because its been a while and wanted to see how you are doing and say I love you. Oh and by the way, I got all A's on my report card again" hehe.... so, of course I go on to congratulate him and tell him how proud I am of him. Then comes the question I believe he was waiting for: "So Brett... what can we get you to reward you for your wonderful grades?" MADDEN 11 for XBOX it is :)

Things I'm grateful since Mary left

I am very sad Mary is not with us anymore to journey through life together here on earth. Although I know she is still with us.

The optimistic and positive side of me has decided to write about a few things I am grateful for since she left:

  • The people who have come into my life - Laurie, Kerri, Cousin Susan....

  • The many signs I've received since that day....

  • My closeness to Kelsey & Brett...

  • That incredible dream I had of Mary...

  • Sense of purpose in my life...

  • The incredible support I've received from Chad, my family, my friends, co-workers, and too many more to name...

  • My newfound faith, my awareness and enlightment...

  • All my birds & especially my Cardinals...

  • Blue Orbs....

Red Cardinals and Blue Orbs in pictures have entered my life when Mary died March 22nd, 2008. They bring me a peace and a new found faith of life after life as we know it

10 things I love about Mary

It's 10 days away from being one year that Mary's life on earth ended. 3/22/08

In celebration of her life and her memory, I'd like to share the top 10 things I loved most about MARY:
  • The pedastol she put me on and never let me fall off!

  • Her determination to achieve and succeed no matter what obstacles came her way.

  • That never ending twinkle in her eyes that shone every time I saw her.

  • Her unending smile that brightened the entire room and washed all negativity away.

  • The positive energy she carried with her every moment of every day. It was so contagious.

  • Her sincere desire to encourage, teach and love her family, students, friends and anyone who she met.

  • The strength to move onward and upward through tough times.

  • The way she LOVED with her whole heart.

  • Did I mention the twinkle in her eyes when she smiled?

  • #1 ~ Her unconditional LOVE and I mean Unconditional!!
Remember, these are the top 10... the real list could go on & on!

Here's a picture of a bonus reason I loved her sooo much - just look at this present she sent me 4 years ago in the mail.... it made me smile so BIG and to imagine the smiles this package got all the way from Texas to New York made me think "Just like Mary to bring a smile in a package".

I only hope she knows how much joy she brought to everyone she came in contact with. I told her all the time!
